ELECAMPANE.  Inula helenium.    TOXIC   The essential oil is not recommended for use in Aromatherapy. (Also known as Alant, Aster helenium, Aster officinalis, Elf Dock, Essence d'Aunee, Helenium grandiflorum, Horseheal, Inula, Scabwort, Velvet Dock, Wild Sunflower, Yellow Starwort.)  Try Costus (Saussurea costus).

ELEMI. Canarium luzonicum. Closely related to trees yielding Frankincense and Myrrh. The essential oil is for EXTERNAL USE ONLY and it should always be diluted with a suitable carrier oil such as Sweet Almond Oil before applying to the skin. Keep it away from children and pets. It is non-toxic and non-irritant but with possible sensitization in some individuals. Use for aged skin, antiseptic, bronchitis, catarrh, coughs, infected cuts, inflammations, nervous exhaustion, rejuvenation, stress, wounds, wrinkles. (Also known as Canarium commune, Elemi Gum, Elemi Oleoresin, Elemi Resin, Manila Elemi.)

EUCALYPTUS - BLUE GUM.  Eucalyptus globulus variety globulus. The essential oil is for EXTERNAL USE ONLY and it should always be diluted with a suitable carrier oil such as Sweet Almond Oil before applying to the skin. Keep it away from children and pets. All eucalyptus oils are toxic if taken internally. Do not drink this oil. Use for abscesses, aches and pains, asthma, bronchitis, burns, blisters, catarrh, chicken pox, colds, coughs, cuts, cystitis, debility, dust mites, epidemics, 'flu, headaches, herpes, infections, insect bites, insect repellent, laundry, leucorrhoea, lice, measles, muscular aches and pains, poor circulation, neuralgia, rheumatoid arthritis, sinusitis, skin infections, sprains, throat infections,  wounds. The Grey Gum Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus radiata), Gully Gum Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus smithii) and the Blue Mallee Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus polybractea) have very similar properties but tend to have a sweeter aroma.. (Also known as Fever Tree, Gum Tree, Southern Blue Gum, Stringy Bark, Tasmanian Blue Gum.)

EUCALYPTUS - BLUE MALLEE.  Eucalyptus polybractea. The essential oil is for EXTERNAL USE ONLY and it should always be diluted with a suitable carrier oil such as Sweet Almond Oil before applying to the skin. Keep it away from children and pets. All eucalyptus oils are toxic if taken internally. Do not drink this oil. Use as Eucalyptus Blue Gum. (Also known as Eucalyptus fruticetorum).

EUCALYPTUS - BROAD LEAVED PEPPERMINT.  Eucalyptus dives variety Type. The essential oil is for EXTERNAL USE ONLY and it should always be diluted with a suitable carrier oil such as Sweet Almond Oil before applying to the skin. Keep it away from children and pets. All eucalyptus oils are toxic if taken internally. Do not drink this oil. Use for abscesses, aches and pains, arthritis, asthma, bronchitis, catarrh, colds, cuts, fevers, 'flu, headaches, infections,  measles, mouth infections, muscular aches and pains, nervous exhaustion, neuralgia, rheumatism, sciatica,  sores, sports injuries, sprains, throat infections, ulcers,  wounds.  (Also known as Blue Peppermint, Broad-leaf Peppermint, Menthol-scented Peppermint.) The Grey or Narrow-leaved Peppermint (Eucalyptus radiata variety phellandra) and the Peppermint  Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus piperita) have very similar properties.

EUCALYPTUS - LEMON GUM.   Eucalyptus citriodorus. The essential oil is for EXTERNAL USE ONLY and it should always be diluted with a suitable carrier oil such as Sweet Almond Oil before applying to the skin. Keep it away from children and pets. All eucalyptus oils are toxic if taken internally. Do not drink this oil.  Use for abrasions, abscesses, asthma, athlete's foot,  Candida, chickenpox, colds, cuts, dandruff,  fevers, fungal infections, herpes, infectious disease, infectious skin conditions, insect repellent, laryngitis, scabs, sore throat, sores, wounds and for use with children. (Also known as  Boabo, Citron-scented Gum, Lemon-scented Gum, Scented Gum Tree, Spotted Gum.)

EVENING PRIMROSE.   Oenothera biennis.  Has Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) and essential Omega 6 fatty acid to help body functions run smoothly and to help maintain healthy skin. It may benefit premenstrual and menopausal women.  It is usually taken internally as health supplement capsules. See Borage Oil.
